Over 1000 plant enthusiasts explored the world of plants!

I AM THE GARDENER FEST 2080

  • I AM THE GARDENER hosted its inaugural 4-day fest from 21 to 24 Baisakh 2080 (4th-7th May 2023) at our production house, Mandikhatar, Ekatabasti - bringing thousands of plant enthusiasts together under a single roof.
  •

Why the fest was organized?

I AM THE GARDENER has always been driven by a vision to raise horticulture standards in Nepal by developing a cutting-edge garden center that connects plant growers and plant enthusiasts.

Aligned with our mission and vision we hosted “I AM THE GARDENER FEST 2080” for the first time. This idea came to us after having participated in the exhibitions organized by Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN) where plant enthusiasts visit from all over Nepal. Seeing this we knew we wanted them to visit and explore our very own world, our production house.

“I AM THE GARDENER FEST 2080” was aimed not only to offer varieties of plants and garden accessories but also hands-on learning, a fun, and engaging experience, and building a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for plants and gardening.

We also wanted to inspire a generation to explore the world of plants, take up gardening as a hobby and learn more about plants and their care.

How many people attended the fest?

We welcomed more than 1000 visitors of all ages and backgrounds to our Fest. Meeting and interacting with other nursery owners, school and college students, plant influencers, our social media followers, loyal customers, and potential new customers in person was an enjoyable experience for us.

What happened at the fest?

To create a delightful atmosphere, we transformed our usual-looking plant nursery into a fun-looking plant fest decorated with bright orange-colored flags, banners, signage boards, a backdrop for clicking pictures, canopies for stalls, a jumping castle, a trampoline, and light music. All these helped to create a lively atmosphere.

"Attending the fest was an incredible experience! It was so awesome to see a wide variety of plants together. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I learned so much about different plant species. "It was a paradise for every plant lover!" - Ajita Bhandari

So, what were our event attractions?

We planned our activities to be relevant for everyone, whether they have a green thumb or are beginners. We can say there was something for every plant lover. Our event attractions were as follows:

1. One-stop solution and Up to 80% off:

The greenhouse was a one-stop solution for all sorts of products, including indoor and outdoor plants, rare plants, hanging plants, potted plants, cacti & succulents, seasonal plants, fruits, pots, cocopeat, fertilizers, and other accessories. A small world of plants!

The world of plants was as mesmerizing to our visitors as it was to us, with colorful flowers, unique foliage, majestic trees, gorgeous trailing plants, and lovely baby plants waiting to be explored.

Additionally, we offered up to 80% off on plants and pots - our biggest offer yet. It was definitely a chance no one wanted to miss, getting your wishlist plants at a discounted price.

"As a plant enthusiast, I was impressed by the collection of rare and exotic plants like Alocasia and orchids. I also connected with other plant enthusiasts. It was a valuable experience, and I can't wait to attend future events!" - Poonam.

 2. Repotting session & Care tips:

In the Repotting session, we gave a hands-on learning experience of repotting a plant and also shared our care tips to make plants happy and thriving. Learning to make and feel potting mix and shifting a plant to a new pot was both fun and insightful.

This session gave us a chance to understand the problems of our customers regarding taking care of plants and sharing our expertise to inspire and boost their confidence to collect more plants and give them the care they need.

3. Games and a chance to win gifts:

Who said plants couldn’t be fun and exciting?

We organized two games, ‘Spin the Wheel’ and ‘Guess the Plant’ to unleash our visitors' competitive spirit while giving them a chance to win gifts. All participants were rewarded with discount vouchers and free plants.

We believe fun shouldn’t stop after buying plants. These exercises were also about enhancing your plant knowledge along the way!

4. Food stalls:

To energize our visitors, food vendors like Khaanpin and Sal’s Pizza were available with delicious food and drinks. Visitors appreciated the delicious food while enjoying the fest’s joyful environment.

5. Kids zone:

We always rejoice in having young visitors. To keep them entertained while their parents were busy exploring plants, we set up a trampoline and a jumping castle.

"Our family had a great time at "I AM THE GARDENER FEST 2080”. My kids loved learning about plants, potting their own succulents, and playing games. I left with not just happy memories, but new plants for our home as well." - Rachel
